Harvest guarantee: at least one harvest per Mushroom House
How long does a Mushroom House last?
The mycelium in our kits has a shelf life of about 6 months at room temperature. When stored in the fridge it can last up to 1 year. That means there’s no rush to start the cultivation immediately—perfect if you’re giving it as a gift or will be away for a while!
What’s the difference between Mushroom House Original and Mushroom House 2.0?
Absolutely none—except the design of the carton. After all, flavour is what counts!
How many harvests can I get from a Mushroom House?
We guarantee one harvest according to our harvest guarantee. But! Usually you’ll get up to three harvests per Mushroom House if you follow the instructions carefully and are patient. The record currently stands at seven, but that’s extremely rare. Regardless of how many harvests you get—each one is just as exciting: from tiny “mushroom buds” to fully grown mushrooms in just days after you’ve made the cut in the bag inside the house.
Easy to grow for everyone
No green thumb needed. No prior experience required. All you need is a bit of water and a few weeks’ patience. The Mushroom Houses do the rest. Once the mushrooms appear, they grow fast—and voilà, you have gourmet mushrooms from your kitchen counter.
NOTE: After you’ve cultivated and harvested your Yellow Oyster Mushroom Houses, the substrate, mycelium and the Mushroom House carton should be disposed of as combustible waste. They must not be added to compost or planted outdoors. This only applies to the Yellow Oyster species.
