The growing block is delivered ready for fruiting. Can be grown indoors on the kitchen counter or outdoors in spring, summer and autumn in a shady location. As soon as you have your grow block delivered, just make a 5 x 5 cm cut in the plastic on the side of the grow block, spray water a few times a day on the cut and within 10 days you will see mushroom bodies peeking out which you can harvest after 3- 6 days. You can get up to three big harvests on this grow block! If you really want to pamper your growing block with Gray oyster mushrooms, we recommend that you build an orchard. It's easy, cheap and you can use the fruit chamber for years. Here we have a guide that describes how to do it.
Our ready-made growing blocks with Gray oyster slivers provide fine harvests indoors anywhere, or outdoors. But if you want optimal conditions, we recommend having the growing block in a humid environment with good air flow. For example, a larger plastic box in which you drilled a few holes on the sides with an associated lid. You can learn more about how to create optimal conditions for fruiting by checking out our guide on how to build your own microclimates in grow boxes at home here.
Orders placed before 11.00 a.m. are usually shipped the same day. We deliver with DHL and deliveries usually take 2-3 working days. Fungal mycelium is resistant but cannot withstand high temperatures. If the climate exceeds 25, we wait for cooler temperatures before sending the packages in order for your products to arrive to you in the best possible condition.
