Mycelium plug kit spring to autumn - Pale oyster sliver, Gray oyster sliver, Shiitake

Who doesn't want to be able to harvest mushrooms from March to November? This kit contains three different species that tend to fruit (create mushrooms) at slightly different times of the year. Gray oyster slivers come in early spring and throughout the fall, Pale oyster slivers usually come throughout the summer, and Shiitake in the spring, summer, and fall. Perfect for those who want to be able to harvest mushrooms throughout the season. Sufficient to inoculate/graft a 4-6 meter log. It is very easy to use mycelium plugs: Drill holes in the log, tap the mycelium plugs into the holes, seal with wax, done. After that, just wait. Once the mushrooms arrive, you can harvest mushrooms for several years from each log, depending on the mushroom species, the size of the log and the choice of tree species. The kit contains everything you need to get started, and you save SEK 94 more than if you were to buy everything separately.

The kit contains:
- 100 mycelium plugs of Pale Oyster Shive ( pleurotus pulmonarius)
- 100 mycelium plugs of Gray Oystercatcher (Pleurotus ostreatus)
- 100 mycelium plugs of Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)
- 225 g borehole wax
- 1 pc of the mushroom house's specially made drill for mycelium plug
- 1 wax applicator

Pale Oyster Shive ( Pleurotus pulmonarius) gives a good continuous harvest with large clusters and large pale fruit bodies. Pale oyster slivers have a delicate and mild flavor that is often described as slightly sweet with subtle aniseed or almond-like notes. The texture is tender and slightly chewy, which makes it versatile in different dishes or as a substitute for meat. This mushroom is a very reliable producer that colonizes and fruits quickly and is a good mushroom for beginners as well as experienced mushroom growers.

Gray oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one of our most productive mushroom species. It produces large yields with proper fruit bodies. Tends to fruit (develop mushrooms) in spring and fall. The taste is rich umami with a nutty element and has a soft, meaty texture that goes well with most dishes.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is a nutritious mushroom that produces medium to large, brown, umbrella-shaped caps. The taste is strong, buttery, salty and just right with umami. Shiitake fruits (develops mushrooms) throughout the summer until a bit in the fall. It tends to produce generous yields and is a great mushroom for beginners as well as seasoned mushroom growers. Shiitake colonizes logs quickly and is among the most reliable producers of any mushroom species available.
